In this powerful Dating to Win interview, Lang shares how a six-month romance scam turned into a devastating cryptocurrency scam that cost her approximately $1.6 million.
Lang is educated, successful, articulate, and works as a nurse practitioner. She had sold two homes and was planning a fresh start in Boise, Idaho, where she hoped to buy her dream home. Then a man entered her life claiming to be a successful business owner who invested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
What started as emotional connection slowly became financial manipulation. He built trust, talked about a future, introduced crypto investing, showed what appeared to be profits, and eventually convinced her to put in proceeds from her homes, retirement money, and a large portion of her life savings.
